In this innovative series of leadership seminars three Cook Leadership Academy fellows explore the connections between leadership and community. These presentations give the fellows an opportunity to gain valuable public speaking experience while also giving other fellows an understanding of how their peers are applying leadership skills in their own lives.

The theme for this semester’s Leader Lens is the search for common ground. Cook Leadership Academy fellows Lizzy Heyboer, Joe Hogan, and Nathan Mehmed share their stories about finding common ground in their personal, academic, and community involvement journeys.

Brenna Cleary, community outreach and research coordinator for the Hauenstein Center, led a workshop on Gottman’s Love Lab with Cook Leadership Academy Fellows during the final Leader Lens event for the 2013-2014 academic year.
