What are the challenges, rewards, and opportunities encountered by women in executive leadership roles? How can we prepare and encourage the next generation of female leaders? The Hauenstein Center has partnered with the National Governors Association to hold a historical, first-time-ever gathering of U.S. Women Governors and other scholars and leaders to discuss leadership issues and gender.

Conference events will include the following: Governors Christine Todd Whitman and Janet Napolitano will participate in a Common Ground Conversation; Governors Granholm, Kunin, Roberts, Blanco, Perdue and others will participate as speakers and panelists; author Deborah Rhode will discuss her new book, Women, and Leadership; and esteemed local leaders from our own community will discuss their experiences and work as leaders and women.
